Perhaps you have accepted one or more sugar gliders, under-and over-estimation of the amount of time and the knowledge that you have to care for this type of pet needed.
Care for sugar gliders do not have to take a lot of time out of your day, if it is done properly. However, it is still necessary for some actions and dedicated time to take your pets every day. If you do not take any time at all in your daily routine to care for your exotic pet, then sugar gliders are not for you.
Who bears little honey, as they are also called, are not hard to maintain, but they need some basic things. If you do these basic things, your pets will thrive and give you the pleasure and entertainment that you have taken them. In the first place
1 - Enter your gliders some of your time, because they can develop some severe depressive symptoms when they are left alone all day, every day. Talk to them, deal with them, entertain them, carry them in your pocket during the day, if you can, that they love.
2 - Give them the right food at the right time. Do not forget, sugar gliders are nocturne animals and eat them at night. Give them mostly fresh fruits and vegetables and to encourage little nuts and other foods that contain fat. Give them live insects as well, this is an essential source of protein for gliders in the wild.
3 - Make sure you offer your small pets a descent environment and living conditions. Please do not make the mistake of adopting a sugar glider without the slightest idea about the basic living conditions, they need to live and survive. Make sure you know about the noise, light or temperature that you can tolerate it, as well as other factors that you should know as a sugar glider owners.
Before you adopt your baby glider, it is your duty to do your homework and get educated as much as you can to the best pet parent you can be and should be.
