Gouldian Finch

Gouldian Finches are native to the northern region of the Australian tropics. Since the 1960s, Australia has banned the export of animals from his land. The Gouldian finch is an endangered species in their natural habitat. This type of finch is very popular and from breeders.

These birds are attractive in color almost taken from humans. You see hardly any other animal as colorful as these finches. You can orange, red or even gray heads. Your back can be and the combination of blue or green and their bodies yellow, white or even purple. One can say that they belong in a toy store, not the wild as described. In nature, these birds are black, red and yellow led. Since humans began breeding, can see any combination of these colors. Just like in all other species, the male is the one that attracts attention, while the female is usually more mellow, blending into the background. The male also has more distinctive tail feathers. It is discussed that these birds are the most colorful birds in the world.

Gouldian Finches are known to be easily stressed by the simplest things, such as changes in body movement or their nests. This stress can lead to less resistance to disease. They are difficult to raise and then reproduce other types of finches. These types of birds are not for the new bird owners or those who are not experienced with finches recommended. The Gouldian Finch is not one that should be stroked or trained fingers. If that is what you are looking for then finches would be better for you.

The Gouldian finch is like any other, very active, social birds. They do well with other finches, but do not do well on their own. The cages for these animals should either wood or metal, but not brass. This type of metal that is toxic to birds and should be avoided at all costs. From all other species of finches, these birds have the largest amount of flying space, at least twenty centimeters, with an absolute minimum.

These birds are wonderful, cheerful birds that do not make all kinds of sounds, often only sing a gentle chirping males, and some of them. Just because these types of birds require more attention worthy than others, does not mean that these colorful, fun creatures will not bother with cheerful personalities...
