This is my list of necessities puppies.
Patience and Understanding: I know I'm a little stubborn and let's be honest, I have not much experience. I want to please, please, please go slow and gentle with me. I'm going to make the mistake, I'm not always live up to your expectations, but I try. Give me time and gentle memories. You will be surprised one day I will "get it." If you are on a strict budget of all this puppy needs is free.
A good diet, I know the food is expensive, but if you could just spend a little more to provide me with a high quality diet, I'm more likely to live to be a ripe old age. Help me right and do not eat too much because I really do not want to be fat. Also, I love the leftovers, but some of your food just does not sit well with me as your chocolate donut set. Please help me to make good decisions, and I promise that I will serve as your faithful companion for many years
Cool freshness Clean Water: I just love fresh water, but sometimes I stick my whole head in the water and make it dirty. Please do not make me drink dirty water. Sometimes I love to drink water from streams or rivers, but please help me to stop. Someone once told me that water from streams make me sick. Also, please, please, please, do not forget to give me water. I do not need coffee, soft drinks or alcohol and water is cheap and my drink of choice.
Love and attention: I want to be a part of your life, so please do not ignore me or I might have to do other things, like chewing your tear to find your furniture or carpet. I get so lonely when you leave me alone, so please help me to do NAMAs things when you have to go. Oh and by the way, when you are at home, I love to play, petted and walked on. Remember, these puppies are one of those necessities that cost nothing.
Exercise: I love to move, whether it is jogging just a run in the hallway or in the park. Let me get some fresh air every day and if you are up to it, I'd love to take a walk. You will be surprised that when I get enough exercise, some of my bad habits away and I'm easier to train. If you add up the cost of all those puppies needs a treadmill would be nice. Just kidding. That exercise thing, it might even be good for you
Safe environment: I'm so curious and into everything that is me in the way: chemicals, poisons, electrical wires all make interesting toys, but I have heard that they are not good for me. I forget so if you want, you can remove anything that could hurt me by my environment so that I can live up to its 100th Oh and by the way, I love to go with you when you run errands, but do not leave me in a hot car. This is a terrible way to die. Please keep me safe.
Comfortable environment, I am not too picky, but I do not like to be outdoors when it is too hot or too cold. I like your most comfortable indoor temperature. I also prefer to sleep on something soft such a comfy bed would be nice. If not, that's okay, I'll sleep with you! Remember, I do not sweat, so if I get too hot, I get trousers to stay cool, but that is not often enough. Stay on your side, and I'll be happy.
Enabling Environments: I can smarter than you and I need something to think about exercise my brain. If you do not give me interesting things to do, I find something interesting to do on my own. I need stimulation, and I have a feeling you are not going to like what I come up with, to busy myself. A few toys, some chew things, a puzzle toy or two, certainly cheaper than your human toy. If you keep me interested, I promise I will not dissect your mobile phone.
Access to care: This puppy is one of those necessities that are really important. I really do not like shots, but I know that a good physical is important, and I'll feel great to put up with photos and medications if they hold. I hate being sick, so please take me to the vet and provide me with the things that will keep me healthy, even if they do not taste.
Pamper: I know I'm asking a lot, but I really need pampers you all know brushing, bathing and care that the entire myriad people like to do. If you train me early, I'm going to sit while you brush my teeth and clip my nails. I will learn to love these baths and promise not to give you wet in the process. I especially love being with you, so go ahead, indulge me, I will not complain.
Finally, it does not take as much time or much effort, or for that matter, a lot of money to make you happy little dog, and health content. It takes an understanding of the breed and the commitment to love your dog, only half as much as he loves you.
